Italian plus size brand Marina Rinaldi and model Ashley Graham continue their partnership with a Spring ’19 line of denim.
The premium women’s wear brand reconnected with the body positive model for a third co-branded collaboration based on modern interpretations of disco-era denim. Designs draw inspiration from the 1970s, combining vintage washes with flare silhouettes, high shine hardware and pops of metallic.
Marina Rinaldi’s partnership with Graham began with a Spring ’18 collection. Graham’s previous collaborations with the Max Mara Fashion Group brand have focused on denim basics like workwear-inspired denim shirts, button front jean skirts and collar-less jean jackets.
The new line offers smart denim looks for work and weekend. Bi-stretch constructions include a jean pencil skirt with a front slit, a denim blazer with silver buttons and a sheath dress with silver studding and zipper hardware.
Jean options include super-stretch, high-waisted, wide leg ankle length jeans with a fringe cuff effect; slim bi-stretch jeans adorned with metal studs; and slim fit super-stretch jeans with an asymmetric fringe hem.
A super-stretch white bull cotton flared trouser offers a sleek look for summer, while a lightweight denim blouse with drawstring cuffs, a cold-shoulder tee and a cropped jersey T-shirt round-out the collection’s casual pieces.
Fashion highlights include a white Trucker jacket with a detachable blue fur collar and a metallic leather jacket.
The collection, available in sizes 8-24, retails for $135-$995.
